My mission is to facilitate inclusive community planning conversations so a pathway can be created for an improved economic future.
I work mainly with “Building Local Prosperity” and “Strategic Doing.” Both programs involve engaging a group of citizens in facilitated conversations leading to a consensus decision and how to improve the community accordingly.
These conversations use skill sets in strategic planning, community economic development, ripple effect mapping, business retention and expansion, economic development tools, business development and strategic visioning.
While based in Southeast Missouri, I travel the state as a Community Economic Development Field Faculty member partnering with local CED county specialists to start a program and to ensure a local presence.
I currently hold the certifications of Professional Community Economic Developer (Community Development Institute), an Economic Development Finance Professional (National Development Council) and a Business Retention & Expansion Project Coordinator (Business Retention Expansion International and University of Minnesota).
